The next morning, Hirvan awoke groggily, his body heavy with the weight of sleeplessness. The entire night had been a relentless swirl of thoughts, each more troubling than the last. He felt as if his mind had run a marathon, leaving him physically and emotionally drained. He rubbed his tired eyes, trying to shake off the fatigue that clung to him like a second skin.
As his vision cleared, the first thing that caught his attention was the persistent flashing of his phone on the bedside table. The screen illuminated the dim room, displaying a name that only deepened his unease, Fu Yan.
The name blinked insistently, and for a moment, Hirvan contemplated ignoring it. He wasn't in the mood for a conversation, especially not with Fu Yan. But his heart, restless and agitated, wouldn't let him sit still.
