Chapter 8 - Brothers

After the hot spring, my whole body felt really relaxed. After I came out of the spring the servants assisted me to change. The rest of the day was quiet. I sleep the whole day. It was really relaxing. I feel like I'm ready to continue my new life. That I'll leave the rest behind me and look straight forward. I woke up in the middle of the night. I stood up and looked out at the beautiful moon. "A Walk around the Palace is now what I need" did I say for myself. So I changed into my kimono and opened the door. It wasn't even cold. I closed the door behind me and walked down the hallway. It was so quiet and beautiful out here. A quiet time to breathe and let all my thoughts and fears go. Suddenly I became a feeling that someone was watching me. I turned around and saw a boy standing on the roof with a sword. I ran to the end of the hallway and jumped to a roof near the unknown person. He came closer and was just to call Kukimara, but he put away his sword. I looked all confused and came closer. "I didn't mean to scare you" His voice was soft and he had green eyes. He also had black long hair in a ponytail.

"Uh-huh.... you did scare me after all.."

"I am truly sorry. I am Yuki, the second King"

King?! There are more King in this Palace?

Well, it is a big job to do to take care of a huge world full of demons everywhere so I understood it quite well. I quickly greeted them. "I am truly sorry for my behavior, your Highness" He laughed a bit shy. "Don't be. It wasn't your fault anyway"

I jumped down the roof so did Yuki. I stod at the end of the hallway and Yuki on the other end. He pointed at me "Come Here". I walked down the hallway and met up with Yuki. We walked a bit, but then we sat down on a bridge and looked at the moon.

"So who are you?"

"I am Sky" Yuki looked younger than Elux, but they both are serious. "Oh, you are Sky! I wanted to meet you all the time, but my brother said No"

"Oh, why is that so?"

"He said your health wasn't that good so you needed to rest" Elux is truly such a caring person, but he never shows it. "Well, I'm good now" I glowed.

He smiled back and looked up again so did i. It was quite for a moment, but Yuki broke the silence.

"What are you doing outside in the middle of the night?"

"I could ask you the same" I chuckled "Well I just wanted to go on a walk, but things turned out to be different" I looked at him, He smiled. "Well, I just looked around the palace for demons. I couldn't sleep after all" We both looked up again at the beautiful stars... Suddenly someone interrupted us.

"What are you two doing out here in the middle of the night?" We both turned around and saw Elux standing behind us. His serious look was there again. I greeted to His Highness.

"My excuse, your Highness. I couldn't sleep and go for a walk" He nodded and looked at Yuki.

"Brother, I looked around the Palace for demons"

"So you were talking while you still were on duty?"

Then I stood up and Elux looked at me.

"Please don't blame him, your Highness. It was my fault because I interrupted him when he was still on duty." The King looked at me while I was looking down. "I'll let you two of this time, but there is no next time. Now go to bed. This is an order. Yuki took his leave right away. I walked way to but he grabbed my hand. "I told you to wait for me"
