Gon x Hisoka x Spy

Hey guys, sorry for not posting more frequently. My schedule was hectic during the holiday season, but it is going back to normal now, so I will be posting more from now on. I hope you enjoy the story.

_________

Gon, Killua, Jett, Wing, and Zushi were waiting in the stands for the fight to start. Jett was sandwiched between Gon and Killua, using his tablet to access cyberspace. Jett sensed someone looking at him whenever he left the tower to train in Wings place. At first, he had ignored it, thinking it was just someone in the crowd who recognized him from one of the arena matches.

When it kept happening every time he left the tower, he finally turned around to look. However, this time, it was different; whoever it was directed a small and fast-killing intent at him. Had Jett already not been aware of someone looking at him, he wouldn't have noticed it; he was the only one who saw the sudden killing intent. Killua and Gon, who had been by his side, didn't show any signs of noticing.

When he turned to look, a cloaked figure was turned around as if he already knew that Jett would turn to look. The image drawn in the figure's cloak made Jett narrow his eyes because the image was something he had searched for information about as soon as he got his hunter's license. He had searched for information about it before, but no matches had ever come up. When he searched the Hunter website, he only found out that the symbol belonged to a lost clan of people.

He had been searching for information about anything that had to do with the birthmark on his shoulder. While it may have been a long shot and wishful thinking, he wanted to know something about it. Although he didn't have memories of the character in his world, he had information about the power system, Nen. He had also asked Wing to explain in more detail the power of Nen. His suspicions were correct; while people could have different Nen types, they were all part of the same Nen system in their bodies.

Jett wanted to investigate why his body was different from the rest of the people. His Hatsu seemed to work in various systems as if he had two bodies, which was impossible. His Hatsu could seal others' Nen while it also sealed his, in that kind of situation he wouldn't be able to use his own Nen either, yet he could still use it. He had also seen it, when he activated one of his Hatsu one strand section of his birthmark glowed a deep crimson red, while the other stayed the same black color. It was why he was searching for information, and he needed to know the mystery of his own body. He had hoped that the hunter association would know. What he didn't expect was that it would bring him trouble.

When he watched the cloaked figure enter a dark alley and disappear into the darkness, Jett knew they were expecting him to follow, trying to lure him in with something he was curious about. Jett wasn't stupid he knew it was a trap, he had also seen it in many movies and anime in his memories. The character would follow someone because they want someone with a clue to something they wanted to know.

They overestimated just how much he wanted to know; while he was curious, he wasn't to the point where he was obsessed with learning about it. It was just simply curiosity that needed to be satisfied. Since they wanted his attention they had it, on that same day, Jett had entered the hunter site and posted a Job. He used the money he earned as he climbed the tower to pay for the job, money on competition, he had also made some bets on Killua and Gon knowing full well they were going to win. What kind of place would a fighting tower be without gambling?

He posted a job on espionage and information gathering. Jett didn't use his name; he only set the location. He needed to meet in person to explain the job, and Jett was wary of someone spying on their communication. The meeting place was right in the stance where they were sitting. While the audience could sit anywhere they wanted, there wasn't any assigned seating.

The match had started, and Hisoka entered the ring flamboyantly, as always. His opponent, Kastro, also entered the ring. He had long silver hair and was wearing a long coat. Jett wasn't paying attention to the match because, as soon as it started, he received the signal that the hunter who took the job was sitting right behind him.

Jett would type what he wanted done, and the hunter would read the information from behind him. Jett knew everyone would be too focused on the match to pay attention to what he was doing. The crowd would also, at times, stand up to cheer so it would hide what he was doing from any prying eyes. Jett had also thought that Gon and Killua would be too focused on the match to pay attention to anything he was doing. Sadly he was wrong, both of them including Wing on Gon's side were watching what Jett was doing with interest.

After Jett wrote what he wanted the hunter to do and got confirmation that the message had been read, his focus was back on the match. Looking up, he saw that Hisoka had two of his hands missing. Jett immediately used Gyo to see what was going on; there were a lot of strands of pink aura attached to some of the debris on the ring. Jett could also see Hisoka's hand was attached to Nen. Gon and Killua quickly diverted their gaze away and focused on the match when they saw Jett had finished what he was doing. They had seen the message and were wondering what it was all about.

"His nen it looks like it had the properties of rubber," Jett said.

"Oh, so you notice. Indeed, I'm surprised you could tell," Wing said.

"Hard not to when I can see it clearly; I assume that is his Hatsu, his changing the property of his Nen so that would make him a transmuter," Jett said.

"What are you guys talking about, Jett," Gon asked.

"Idiot Gon, use Gyo," said Killua from Jett's other side.

"I see ten strands of nen from the ceiling to a few rocks on the ring," Gon said, using Gyo.

"Gon, have you decided when you will challenge Hisoka?" Jett asked.

"Yes, I'll register for July 10th," Gon said.

"The 10th wait, is it June?" Jett asked.

"Yes," Killua answered.

"That means my birthday already passed; Gon yours too; we became 13 without even knowing it," Jett said suddenly.

"What? Oh yeah, I guess I didn't notice," Gon said.

"My birthday is coming up on July 7th, too," Killua said.

"That's it! We have to go and celebrate!" Jett said, getting up from his seat, not caring about Hisoka's fight anymore.

Leaving the arena, the group left the tower and found themselves in a restaurant. Jett ordered a big cake that he and Gon could share. They had a good time eating and having cake. It was the first time that Jett celebrated his birthday. Back in Whale Island, his focus was only on training, and later, he taught Gon the flash step.

They spent the following days training their Nen. Jett taught Gon a few techniques so he could fight Hisoka. They also didn't forget to train their Hatsu. Gon called Hisoka and told him about the date of their fight.

On July 10th, a few days after celebrating Killua's birthday, Killua, Jett, Wing, and Zushi were sitting in the stands. They were waiting for the fight between Gon and Hisoka to begin. As the announcer introduced Gon and Hisoka, the crowd started screaming.

Unlike the original timeline, the fight started with Gon using Gyo when he entered the ring. Jett hammered it into Gon's head that he should always use Gyo in a Nen fight. There were more changes. If Jett still remembered anything about the plot, he would be surprised at how different everything was happening with Gon and Hisoka's fight. When he showed his flash step technique on the hunter exam, Jett knew a few people with extraordinary talents would be able to copy it.

He wasn't surprised when he saw Hisoka suddenly banished from the ring and appear in front of Gon in an instant, Hisoka was going for an uppercut to Gon's chin. Gon, on the other hand, was shocked, but not for long. Gon also had extraordinary talent. Just as Hisoka appeared before him, his right foot shook back, making the slag stone move with the pressure his foot was putting on the ring. Jett had also taught Gon how to use the power of the flash step like he was trying to use it.

Gon moved his head out of the way avoiding Hisoka's fist, a cut mark appeared on Gon's cheek from the power and speed of Hisoka's punch. With the same energy and speed, Gon delivers a downward punch to Hisoka's face. Hisoka, already in a crouching position, tightens the muscles on his legs and jumps up, avoiding Gon's fist. The power of Gon's fist was so strong it didn't even crack the ring; his fist plummeted through the ring to his shoulder.

Hisoka landed on the edge of the ring, looking at Gon with a perverted smile on his face. Gon didn't move; he slowly stood and turned to look at Hisoka. The crowd was silent; they weren't able to see anything. Everything had happened in the blink of an eye. Three seconds later, they both moved, but this time, they moved at a slower pace. The first move was to take the opponent by surprise.

Gon and Hisoka traded blow after blow, not giving an inch; Gon, unlike in the original plot, had more training. He was keeping pace with Hisoka; they didn't take a single point from the other. The commentator was trying to keep up with what was going on, but she was still unable to see their fast movement when they decided to use the flash step.

After trading blow after blow, Hisoka used a faint to trick Gon. The first point went to Hisoka. In the original story, Hisoka had not moved from his spot as Gon had attacked him; this time around, he had to move. Gon's punches were stronger and faster, so if he hadn't moved, the first point would have gone to Gon.

Gon tries a trick of his own with another flash step. He rushes at Hisoka; this time, he stops right before reaching Hisoka and stomps on the floor. The slag stone under Hisoka rises upward, making him go airborne. Hisoka was taken by surprise. The slag stone covered his view for a split second, and in that second, Gon jumped at a fast speed. The slag stone had gone past Hisoka in the air, and as it turned, it revealed a crouching Gon hidden by slag. Using the stone as a foothold, Gon pushed himself, gathered his Nen on his fist, and punched Hisoka, who had noticed too late.

To the expecting crowd, it looked like Hisoka would crash into the ring at the speed he was going, but ten feet off the ground, Hisoka somersaulted in the air, spinning in place, and landed on his feet; Hisoka jumped back as Gon landed. The slag that had been airborne landed with a loud thud.

Gon and Hisoka stay still, looking at each other. Gon then starts walking to him and hands him a card with the number 44 on it. At the same time, Jett, on the stand, gets a notification from his device. He looks at his surroundings and sees that everyone is distracted. Pulling out his device, he reads the message on the screen.

Jett smiled at the message. Standing up, he told Killua, "I'll be back in need of going to the restroom." Killua hadn't noticed him looking at what Jett was doing but Wing on his other side did, Wing opened his mouth to say something, but for some unknown reason decided not to say anything.

"What right now? What about Gons' fight?" asked Killua.

"It looks like Gon was able to pay Hisoka back, Hisoka is going to take it more seriously and win, because if he continues he may try to kill Gon, based on his personality he wants Gon to become stronger," Jett explain.

"That's a lot more reason to stay; what if he does try to kill him," Killua argues.

"He won't you know it, too? You can see that Hisoka isn't having that much fun," Jett said. Killua said nothing because he had seen it, too.

"I'll just go quickly and come back," Jett said, not looking at Killua.

Jett didn't wait for Killua to say anything else and left. He needed to rush to the location; anything could happen. If the person spying on him was a Nen user, he could neutralize his Nen with his Hatsu, making it easier to deal with the spy. He also needed to find information from him; Jett knew that the spy would tell him. They wanted to get his attention; he was sure they would try to play some trick to get him to go where they wanted. If what he heard made him want to look more deeply into everything, he must decide if he would play along.
