Monday cannot come sooner. I get up and run out the house. Today I join in on the student government meeting about the freshman fair. Hopping onto my bike, I pop my earpiece in. My head is filled with the sound of Mozart's Lacrimosa. I listen to this every morning.
I'm impeccable in my white shirt and black skort and tie. Ready to take on another day with contact clear vision. (I don't know how I survived being almost blind for so long).
I walk past the prefects in the hall, I'm not on duty anyways but I come early to see what I can help with.
You see, I'm a high school student government secretary. Elected in as a temporary committee member, I have worked my way up the ranks to secretary within one year.
I do believe I've earned the right to brag, but I'll keep the positive comments to myself.
"Aaagh!!", I hear a sound coming from an empty room down the hall. I rush to see if someone needs help, but it seems like there was no one when I got there.
"Hmmnn, strange", this should be the be the art department. It's at the end of the hall and it's currently being renovated. I wonder what could possibly be happening here.
Anyways, I'm off work today, and I don't have the meeting till 4:00pm, so I guessI'll just take a nap before class. I have 30 minutes anyways.
As I walk out the door, I hear a thud, and I begin to wonder if I am truly alone in this room. As much as I like mysteries, I don't want to find out. I pride myself on minding my business and doing my job well. This is not in my job specifications. I'm outta here!!!
With speed, I rush down the hallway and bump into a fellow student. Unfortunately, one of my contacts falls out, and I bend down to find it. This must be hilarious to anyone watching because I'm as blind as a bat, and I'm searching for what I can't even see!
Great! Mondays….
