75. Reunion 9

Bodyguards surrounded them and tried to disperse the students.

The woman looked up and then met Lance's eyes. She hurriedly walked to him but stopped a meter before reaching him.

She was scared that this was an illusion, her son disappearing from her gasp again.

"Lance...." She whispered.

Lance was shocked when he saw all the pain in her eyes, seeing the two people who were apparently his real parents he was unsure how to react.

That this school day ended like this, he had never anticipated.

He had imagined them living happily without knowing him, but both looked old and broken.

The man who was his father had moist eyes, too. He looked as if wounded from life. They both looked like that.

He didn't know how to react and glanced at Page, who gestured with her head toward his mother. 'Go and hug her.'

He obliged and hugged the skinny woman, who shook in his arms and cried like a child.
