Anjuly woke up around afternoon. She waited silently beside Paige, who showed no signs of waking up, until early in the evening. She couldn't leave without Paige's fingerprint, but even if she could, she only felt safe with Paige for now.
Anjuly knew that she wasn't intelligent enough to judge whether it was true what Paige and Meier had told her, but she had a good feeling for people, and could sense whether someone was violent or not.
She sensed no danger from Paige, so nothing should happen to her. She was uncertain; she wasn't sure how life would be away from home, being outside.
Then, this was not really outside; it was better described as at some other place than home.
Anjuly was daydreaming again, an activity she loved to do in her spare time. Because she couldn't read properly, she was unable to go to school or go online, and there were no books at home, even if she could.
