General Lambert had just received a phone call from his finance advisor. After hanging up, he looked only more exhausted than he already was anyway.
He had no choice but to call his old friend.
Dialing the number with bated breath, he waited until the other person would answer the call. If he even would.
"Yes?" Terrence's cold voice came from the other end.
General Lambert cleared his throat,
"So the kids told you." Retaliating on a monetary level, how fitting for a businessman.
He could hear Terrence chuckle icily on the other end, and he mocked him openly,
"What are you talking about? How could I know something that was signed as confidential? Who in their right mind would go against instructions from the military?"
General Lambert sighed, so Terrence knew not only a bit; he knew everything.
