Parental Concerns and Future Plans

It had been a year since the group went on their vacation together, and they were all busy with their work and college. Namjoon was in his office at Jung Legal when his father called him in.

"May I come in, Dad?" he asked, knocking on the door of his father's cabin.

"Come in, son," Mr. Jung replied.

"What's up, Dad?" Namjoon asked as he entered.

"I'm going to an important meeting and won't be back until after lunch," his father said. "Hobi is coming with me, but I don't need you to come."

"Okay, Dad," Namjoon said. "Let me know if you need anything."

"Will do," Mr. Jung said, as Namjoon left the room.

Namjoon went back to his own office and decided to call Jin.

"Hey, baby, how are you?" Jin answered the phone.

"I'm good, Jinnie. Where are you?" Namjoon asked.

"I'm at the agency," Jin replied. "I have a shoot tomorrow, so I came here for some costume trials. Why, what's up? Don't tell me you're free today."

"I don't have much work today, so I thought we could meet in the evening," Namjoon said.

"I'm sorry, baby. I'm not free today," Jin said. "We can meet some other time. I have to go now; my designer is calling me. Talk to you later. Saranghae."

"Saranghae, my worldwide handsome Jinnie," Namjoon said before hanging up.

Mrs Kim, Mrs Jung, Mrs Park and Mrs Jeon were gathered at Kim Mansion for a get-together. They were discussing their children's future and marriage prospects.

Mrs Kim (Rhea) started the conversation, "Eun Jung, don't you think that we should start thinking about our son's marriage. If we start seeing the proposal from now, then only we will be able to find someone by next 6 months."

Mrs Jeon (Eun Jung) responded, "I am sorry Rhea Unni, but I am right now not looking for any alliances for Yoongi. I tried speaking to him once, but he already warned us not to talk about marriage at least for 2 years unless he doesn't complete his studies."

Mrs Jung (Ji Hyun) chimed in, "Why Unni, just give him one more year, let him just finish his studies & his career is just started, then why so hurry?"

Mrs Kim (Rhea) explained, "It's not like that I am in a hurry Ji Hyun. I just want Jin to get settled as soon as he finishes his studies. Mr Kim is planning to send him to US post his studies for his business expansion and he wants him to handle this project."

Mrs Park (Aera) added, "I know Unni, Kim Oppa has already spoken to my husband & he has told him to manage Jin's shoots for 1 year."

Mrs Kim (Rhea) continued, "See, this is what I am worried about. Now tell me, why I shouldn't be thinking about his marriage. In fact, I have seen a girl for him, she is Ki Tae's business partner's daughter. She is beautiful and intelligent. I will make you all meet her soon; I will call her mom and her in our next gathering. She also has a younger sister; I think she is of Kookie's age. If everything works for Jin, we can hitch her with Kookie."

Mrs Jeon (Eun Jung) replied, "No Aera Unni, I have already chosen a girl for Kookie. I am sorry Aera Unni, I didn't tell you earlier, but I really like Shine and I want her to be my daughter-in-law."

Mrs Jung (Ji Hyun) expressed her opinion, "What had happened to you all? You all are just planning your children's marriage by yourself without even asking your children. What if they have already chosen someone for themselves?"

Mrs Park (Aera) agreed with Ji Hyun Unni and said, "Ji Hyun Unni, is saying truth. Eun Jung, I don't have any problem with Shine & Kookie marriage, but only when they want to get married to each other. Otherwise, I will not force them to get married with each other just because we want them to."

Mrs Jung (Ji Hyun) supported Aera Unni and added, "So true, same is with me. I have given full right to Hobi & Namjoon to choose their life partner. Me and Mr Jung have already told them that if they have anyone in their lives, then do tell us, we will not object."

Mrs Kim (Rhea) reconsidered and said, "I think you both are saying right. I will speak with Jin, if he has anyone in his life then I will get him married to her, otherwise I will find someone for him before he moves to US for the project."

Mrs Jeon (Eun Jung) said her goodbyes, "Right. Now I will take a leave, I have a dinner plan with Mr Jeon. Will meet you all soon. Bye everyone. Take care." Everyone bid goodbyes and went back to their respective homes.
