Chapter 24

Xander's POV

I squinted my eyes as I used my wolf senses to scent the area for any guards, I recognize some scents from our pack but am confused as to why they are scheming along with the Lumiscent pack or should I say the rouge pack. A few hours ago, I was in a meeting with Ashton and my other bodyguards except for Aspen because he was sent out with Cameron to investigate. The doors to the meeting room was interrupted by One of guard who was in charge for the daily patrol in the hotel we were staying at saying he had sniffed an unfamiliar scent along with blood in the air. After rushing downstairs into the place he had sniffed the scent more; We saw Catherine and a strange man who had fainted because of his wounds that were deeply scratched but apart from that no serious wounds were found but definitely alot of bruises.

By the time the man woke up it was night and the lights were out in the streets, all the pack members had crowded on Catherine especially Natalie and other pack members crowded on the man who claimed to be a friend of Amanda. He had explained everything while I angrily calmed down and formed a plan. After a few minutes of discussing I sent out many pack warriors with a special device that stopped them from falling in a coma from the hallucinations that one of the rouges had. Apparently, the man told everything we needed to know and why we didn't receive information in the first place.

Natalie and one of the pack members offered to stay with the man and Catherine while they recuperate. I divided them in groups including myself, Ashton, Nick and another pack members. My best generals were in charge of leading some of the groups while I give commands. When we reached the dense forest that separated the huge building that was like a fortress I motioned one of the groups to commence the missions' first step.

The other party was a werewolf as well, we hide out scents beforehand so they wouldn't find out. The group had huge sticks that were thick and poured down a liquid on top, a fire started as they threw them in many directions hence causing the guards in their place to rush with alarm. The plan was simple but risky. Plan one had succeeded. Draw the attention of the enemy, I glanced at the group and another group and nodded, immediately they rushed out into the battlefield and started fighting with the guards. After a while another group was sent out and this time they successfully apprehended some of the guards who were in my pack. They tied them with one rope while another group came forward and injected them with another liquid Madeline had made. It was suppose to help undo those who were hypnotized.

Another group was sent to fight and this time the battle took place inside the building that was blazing with fire. Another group was responsible for rescuing Amanda and her friends along with Ryder. I rushed forward with adrenaline and excitement as I sliced through one of the guards, my eyes squinted along the hot fire that was now spreading like a disease along the building and burning it as screams came from inside, I smiled as I sliced through another, carefully making sure that the guard doesn't belong in my pack.

My pack had been severely injured, thankfully, Madeline had offered to come with us and brought her medical kit. The healing process of the wolf was nice and faster, but some of our pack members were humans so we brought her just in case. As me and Ashton cleared up the mess down, our clothes full of blood and our face full of smiles of our victory. I became wary Ashton also didn't let his guard down, Although the battle had ended in victory the mastermind was nowhere in sight. Then as if in cue, the mastermind revealed himself along with some of his subordinates, one being a girl Amanda's age.

Amanda's POV

Screams could be heard from my side. I cried for the twentieth time as I yelled anguishly, my voice had become hoarse of yelling and crying too much, "STOP!" but she didn't listen.

A few hours ago

A girl about my age stood and looked down and lifted my chin up with her index finger and sneered, "So..you are the trashy girl he has been looking for, I can't believe he would like someone like you I mean look at how handsome and godly he is, Someone the likes of you can't compare" She smirked, her eyes narrowing mine dangerously. "Tell me, all these years all I've heard from him is a few words coming out from his mouth and all he ever talks in those few words are, 'The woman I'm looking for is beautiful, kind and caring' or 'She's someone worthy of me' " She continued.

"I've suffered enough, especially now that he has found you, he'll abandon me again, afterall, He took me because I reminded him of you, he made me love him, very dearly that I can't bear to lose him, I'll make him mine " She spoke crazily then looked at me, her eyes glinting with malice "now... I'll make you pay for what you put me through, BRING THE WHIPS!" She yelled, her voice echoing.

'What is she going to do? And besides, Why would I love that creepy dude back when I don't even know him?' I questioned myself. My eyes widen when two soldiers came forward with huge rectangular boxes, one of them open to reveal a full black whip, it's sides sharpened. I gulped and attempted to move away. She laughed maniacally after seeing my pathetic attempt to escape. I gulped and attempted to not lose my bravery "D-Do you know what the boss will do to you when he finds out?!" I yelled, regaining back my confidence. She paused and I would've thought I actually got through her if she didn't start laughing again.

"Who said anything about me hurting you?" She laughed her crazy expression scaring me. "W-What do you want to do!?" I yell at her, my chains shuffling as I move forward with a yank. I groaned in pain when the chains on my wrist hung tightly that I think it might've bruised my skin. She laughed again then looked at me, smirking as she took a whip and slashed it into Eve's chest hardly that she woke up with a yell in an instant. The wounds looked deep, the woman laughed but made no attempt to even stop. "Stop!" I yell as she slashed at Eve for five whole minutes, she screamed in pain as she faints. "Please, Stop..." I choke out a sob, my tears threatening to spill.

"Awww... are you going to cry?" She mocked, a smile on her face as she slashed across Eve's shoulder blade. "EVE!" I yell, the scream shrilled out of her mouth, her screams were terrifying and it broke me that I was so helpless. Her wounds healed again but the woman slashed her open everytime. I cry and sob then she moves to Adam. "NO!" "PLEASE!" I yell, She moves in slow strides to approach the Adam whose fangs were baring out of his teeth and he tried grabbing the woman's throat but was held down by the Silver Iron chains. He hissed in pain when the first slash cut through his skin across his arms.

'He was handling the pain better than I thought, this is fun!' Freya thought and smirked arrogantly, she roughly grabbed Adam by his chin as she looked at me. My eyes were teary and my chains have left many bruises that were sure going to last for a long time, I yanked the chain again only to have it Pierce my skin. I yelled as another slash came for Adam. I yell again, my throat felt dry but I didn't stop begging and crying, telling them that it wasn't their fault and that she should punish me because I've done her bad and not them. She slapped across my cheek as she fished out a larger whip and came forward.

She slashed the large whip on my back making me cry out in pain and terror, I yelled in pain as she slashed another one across my neck. Then another one in front, and another one. Eve had fully healed and I was glad, Adam was a vampire so as long as he drinks blood he'll heal. I yelp as my eyes became blurry and my visioned darkened, the woman didn't stop and slashed it rougher making it go deep, I yelled in pain. A few minutes later and a soldier approached her, I couldn't hear well because my consciousness was slipping dangerously. "Miss Freya, The Blood Moon Pack has ambushed us, The master requests to see the prisoners." He said, his head bowing down.

Freya sighed, 'Great, I didn't get enough fun' She thought, pouting grimly. She looked at me and smirked, "That ought to teach you!" She spoke arrogantly, her chin high as she walked away, leaving me wondering. 'Xander.....' before darkness took me in.

Xander's POV

The man who appeared approached me, I let out a warning growl, he smirks before stopping his tracks then he claps. "Truly, Xander, you are worthy of your Alpha name" his voice was hoarse, his aura was indifferent and his eyes held a hint of amusement and malice along with his indifferences.

"Let my pack members and Amanda go!" I growl, my fangs baring down as my eyes glowed a red color similar to blood. The man smiles as he looks at the girl, the girl hesitated and nods. She goes towards the side where a room was and brought out Ryder who had scars but was healing, then one by one Amanda's friends were brought out, each of them unconscious. A group of pack members lunged forwards from the vent on top of the girl and slashed her neck, she barely escaped, pushing herself to the side and showing us a glare of hostility. The master however, didn't mind and continued smiling, "Where is Amanda? Where did you take her?" I growl, my aura filled with killing intent as the pack members retrieved Ryder along with a girl and boy.

The mastermind clicked his teeth and responded, "Amanda is mine, she's off limits, know your place wet dog"

I growled and rushed forward, grabbing him by the throat as his fingernails turned into claws and slashed my skin, I gritted my teeth and pushed him down. My pack members took this as a cue to leave with the others. The girl with the mastermind stopped them and fought them off, many falling down because of her strength. It looked like she got the upper hand when the mastermind yelled, "BEHIND YOU FREYA!" It was too late, her throat was detached from her body as blood spilled the tiled floor.

I couldn't care less and used this opportunity to bring down the mastermind, both of us were wounded and despite the healing process that was happening by itself, none of us had the strength left, both of us were sluggish and dawn was approaching, the air smelled of blood and death. I slashed his throat for who know how many times before I repeated the question, "Where is Amanda?!" he gritted his teeth and didn't reply.

With a huge scratch his mask came off and his face was revealed, he had green emerald eyes that were shining, full of emotions. A collective gasp could be heard, "D-Daniel?" We both turned around to see Amanda standing away from us, her expression co-existed with horror, Pain and confusion. "Amanda?" I spoke, gently as I stood up and wanted to embrace her. A claw stuck its way to my chest as blood poured out from the corner of my mouth, I saw Amanda rushing towards me as my vision almost blackened.
