After all, superior firepower can redeem people!
I actually really enjoyed this story initially. The concept was interesting and fairly unique. The mc is invincible in his little domain on a mountain and has to recruit disciples to grow stronger. And to top it off, he is unable to cultivate so he has to somehow teach his disciples without having any experience. However, as of chapter 92 the story goes straight to trash. All of these previous points are suddenly thrown out the window. The mc suddenly appears in a city far from his domain with no explanation. He suddenly has cultivation knowledge out of nowhere. His sect that he just set up not even a month ago now suddenly has a deep and extensive history in that world. In addition, he suddenly has enemies that knows all about him and his sect out of nowhere as well. Do you see the problem here with how many times I said the word "suddenly"? The story basically completely changed with no foreshadowing and no communication on why it happened. It is a real shame too since I did enjoy it before that. TLDR: Story completely changed around chapter 92 and retconned the entire first part.
Right about what? I personally don't think it's possible to judge a person's intelligence based on a single comment. Especially when it comes to this where everyone has their own sense of morality. Some find the mc justified and others think he's a hypocrite. In this case I believe that he's in the wrong. However, today I managed to make it over a hundred chapters in and find him a somewhat appealing character now. But I still don't like his actions in this chapter. In any case have a nice day and maybe I'll see your comments again in a later chapter
Nope no problems reading normally but while I can't say much about the future chapters, it is extremely difficult to read this section in particular. This is my 4th attempt at reading this story and I still can't get passed this arc of the story. It's not about whether Thane had a reason or not to stay blind. It's about the blatant hypocrisy of Lee. He gets onto their cases about not helping the old man and yet immediately stops them from helping when they do try. He himself has no idea of the past Thane experienced nor did he really ever talk with Thane about whether or not he wants to be cured. And yet despite this he made his own assumptions (though they happened to be right) and forced them onto everyone else. And keep in mind that he's known Thane for even less time than any of these adventurers and yet already acts like he's more entitled to care for him than anyone else despite not offering any monetary help despite his massive stockpile of gold, no offer of healing despite his skills and resources, and only exists to eff things up with his lack of control. Sorry for the essay response but I hope this makes it clear why some people are not happy with Lee right now. He might have good intentions but he's judging them from the perspective of someone who is extremely powerful can literally do anything while the adventurers are merely normal humans that are just trying their best to make it through life and now are trying to make up for the past in their own limited ways. PS. Why do you feel the need to immediately jump in and insult everyone else without understanding their perspectives? Absolutely incomprehensible, and if I may engage in some hypocrisy myself, it's quite childish if anything.

I can already see this being a counter to the Hungry Ghost Domain of that mechanical monk
