should be worried about every telepath not just xavier
You’re not just wrong; you’re so astronomically off-base that it’s actually impressive. Calling Peter Parker a ‘loser’ because he faces hardships is such an ignorant take, it’s almost laughable. Spider-Man’s entire appeal as a character is his relatability—he struggles, like every human does, and he still rises above it to do the right thing. That’s not weakness; that’s strength. Dismissing his perseverance and selflessness as ‘living up to everyone’s expectations’ shows you’ve either misunderstood the core of his character or never actually paid attention. Peter doesn’t sacrifice his personal life because he’s a pushover; he does it because he believes in something greater than himself. That’s not being a ‘loser.’ That’s being a hero. You also claim you’re stating ‘cold hard facts.’ No, you’re stating uninformed opinions and dressing them up as facts. If Peter’s supposed ‘failures’ make him a loser in your eyes, then I don’t think you understand the concept of heroism—or storytelling, for that matter. Frankly, your take is so surface-level and dismissive that it’s borderline embarrassing. If this is the hill you want to die on, at least come armed with an actual understanding of the material instead of spouting nonsense like it’s profound insight.
Fr, it’s honestly disappointing and shocking how the author has zero clue about who Peter really is.
ironic lol
What did you expect? The chapter’s literally called 'Upgrades.' You could’ve just skipped it.
Honestly, the explanation of speed and power in fiction is full of contradictions and misunderstandings. In fiction, if a character is shown moving faster than light, that’s what matters—it’s not just a ‘visual effect.’ The Black Widow analogy doesn’t work because dodging bullets and moving FTL are two different things. And as for the physics talk—fiction doesn’t have to follow real-world physics. If Eidolon can move at FTL speeds, then he can, regardless of what 'cosmic beings' can do. It's all about the rules of the universe, not the laws of our world. Cool chapter tho 👍
Yeah, but in fiction, it’s not about real-world physics. Fictional worlds can bend or ignore those limits, and it’s totally consistent within those universes.
Fiction doesn’t follow real-world physics, so saying FTL is 'ridiculous' misses the point. Characters like Goku, The Flash, or Superman consistently show FTL feats, and scaling backs it up. It’s not about misunderstanding physics—it’s about understanding the logic of the story
