We actually already knew that Broken had done this. I forget which chapter, but I think it was one of the things Cassie learned back when she was saying it all came down to weaver.
They mentioned in a previous chapter that Effie left the loop briefly and met with the Lord of Shadows before returning to the loop. They just didn’t explicitly say why so that the reveal would be a surprise.
One thing I’ve never understood was how Neph learned the family sword/battle style from her father when he died when she was four. She would have only been able to get the most basic of steps at that time, such as swinging a small wooden sword.
I’ve been saying this to myself for almost the entire war. I kinda feel like maybe Song and Anvil have hit a wall and are using this war to build up Neph’s domain or encourage rapid growth in the next generation in order to surpass them.
I doubt it would be this, but I’d love a little imp to tackle him before he can bring down the sword. Eat ‘em up little buddy!
Remember, most Avatars do not level up with you. Even if they had earned a bunch of avatars when they were first traveling, they likely would have outgrown them and sold them. This is especially true after they were kicked out of the main branch. Gotta make ends meet and pay for the constantly growing litter of children. Haha
I thought the banner was complete, but it was the black armor that he was continuing to modify.
Actually, no. When a speaker speaks for more than one paragraph, you don’t have to end/close the parentheses at the end of each paragraph—only close them at the final one. However, each paragraph should still start with the parentheses to notate that their speaking continues.
Overall, a fun and enjoyable read. WebNovel chops up chapters to squeeze out more money, which is frustrating, but the story and world building was decent. Really could use an editor to fix the translation issues, which persist throughout the novel, but if you push through and focus on the story it doesn’t detract too much.
