Missed opportunity! I should have written: 'Or she will pout. Without me causing it.'
I don't remember the chapter, but I do kinda recall I used the particular spirit in a slightly longer comparison for El's 'mature perfected' voice. (Okay, I got off my rear and looked it up, 547~), When she first introduced herself properly to the Yecine Council she just invaded!
Looks like some of your reaction images aren't lasting/loading! Not sure why, just a small heads up~
Well. I mean... If in your last life there was a class of people that - by and large - tried to fight, kill, or cripple you maybe 7 out of 10 times, throughout the course of knowing them... And then a different class that mostly cowered and did their best to not ever displease you the entire time... It does seem easier to be kinder to the latter little sheep-rabbits, than the former snarling dragon-wolves. Also you are right and she's just generally more of a good person than she gives herself credit for, even if her logic really does run neutral/gray in most respects
It's funny that you mentioned spiders and webs at this point. Almost like you instinctively knew they would be brought up with the merchant as you read further! (And totally not that it is a very common turn of phrase with cold read coincidence~)
"He doesn't want to play, he just *makes* things! Who just sits around and makes things all day?" ... "El does? Well... when you put it that way... maybe he isn't half bad?"
She really can't... Funny that I'm seeing this now, though. Since I just wrote earlier another similar El 'nope'-ing about someone else gushing about their relationship.
...Because you're a dang witch! Or a book spirit! Little of A, little of B?
*thinks about Onya's Physique ominously*
I wonder why~ Probably something about supply and demand Poor roses, just being used when convenient...
