writing quality is absolute dogsh *t. and the names keep switching back and forth between western names and Chinese names for the same person, which makes it blatantly obvious that this is copy-pasted from another novel

the story is quite good. However, the comedy is very badly inserted into the story. it's supposed to be funny, but all it does is annoy people who gets into the story by pulling them out of their focus.

yes, mistakes happen, but when multiple readers point out the mistake and the author still refuses to fix it, then it's no longer a mistake, but a half-assed, sloppy mess. the fact that you're trying to defend the author for being sloppy is baffling
