See this! I just gifted the story: Luxury car
Author, Please keep you’re story, the world you’ve created alive. Can’t seem to put the novel down.
Thinking from your perspective, two valid points: greater public awareness would create more buzz around the case, and that publicity could put pressure on the judge and influence the atmosphere in which a verdict is delivered. As for your second point, Gu Chen likely understands livestream restrictions and the legal risks (referenced in chapter 20: “Gu Chen went to research live streaming”). He would therefore judge whether revealing specific details is too sensitive. At the same time, Wu Kexin voluntarily joined the livestream and disclosed the case herself, which implies she waived some privacy expectations. From Wu Kexin’s perspective, she probably knows Gu Chen’s reputation as an effective lawyer and, desperate to help her friend, is focused on securing competent representation; in that state she may deprioritize privacy, involuntarily gaining public support which may strengthen the case, which ties back to the first point about publicity shaping outcomes.
I know the story has progressed past this and this would make a difference but I would think as soon as Wu Kexin started to detail her case, Gu Chen would stop the livestream. For her privacy and the family involved but also the explicit details Wu Kexin describes wouldn’t be appropriate over the livestream, I would think. However it’s fictional so it shouldn’t matter.

Keep the novel going, every chapter so far is a good read and waiting for more after!
Excited for whats to come after reading your review!
I like how you've balanced the super detailed chapters with the more chill, slice-of-life ones. There's a lot of info to take in sometimes, but you always manage to explain things enough so I can follow along even if I don't catch every single detail. And then, bam! Slice-of-life chapter. It's like a breather, you know? Just relaxing with the story, like Jeff kicking back after a long day. The way you've structured everything keeps it from ever feeling too overwhelming. Really well done!
Keep the chapters coming!
Personally for me, I’m enjoying this read!
