I honestly am leaning heavily towards villain. I’m not enjoying that either. I much rather read a good triumphs over evil. When there is no good and really drags the story down hard. Makes it depressing and makes him think of the world was destroyed would the rest of the universe be better off.

Author your making your MC nothing but a clone of all these other series MCs. The biggest troupe of cultivation novel. Insufferable arrogance and pride. You are quickly destroying the human element of him. It’s not cool at all and is going to not win any favors. The system is unique, but so was your characters. It feels like your destroying your characters and simplifying them. I’m sure as many read because of the MC and they do of the unique cultivation system. Your not doing yourself any favors here. Plus you’ve made the MC into someone very cringe and unlikable.

This is fine all the way up until you support large causes or big organizations. Then you realize your doing stuff for others. For people you don’t know. No one doing that can be belittled or not called honorable. Do people have a complex about it, yes but many actually do it. Not asking for praise, not in it for selfishness. So don’t be flippant about the act itself. Atticus is selfish and most are but it’s not universal.

Simp possibly on the first one but not the second. He didn’t get played, plus are we really going to call someone a simp when he broke off his first relationship by committing assault and dv on his first ex when he discovered she was two timing. Simp is for adults. No one can tell me when they where 16/17, they weren’t pining after a specific girl and would be extra careful around her. Mind you are talking about straight guys here. Being some confident and comfortable guy with women isn’t a high school trait. Even the ones who are boss are faking it to make it. Experience in that department takes it home. You usually don’t get there til in your 20’s.
