I don’t think Luffy had the Gomes Gomu no Mi until after Shanks and his crew had been coming to the island for a while. They are in Party’s Bar when Higuma and his bandits enter and cause ruckus. That’s when Luffy eats the Gomu Gomu no Mi.

Actually, per canon, Arrancar are hollows that have ripped off their mask. There are natural Arrancar however they don’t usually fully develop. Aizen, using the Hōgyoku, turned hollows into Arrancar who on average were more developed than the natural Arrancar. Exceptions to this are Ulquiorra and Starrk.

Considering this is a translation, I suggest cross referencing some of the titles and character names as allows readers a smoother experience. For example, the Black Dragon in Fairy Tail is spelled Acnologia. Pretty sure Mirajane and Erza are 19 or 20 at the start of canon whereas Natsu and Gray are two years younger. Obviously, this takes extra time but maybe something to look into.

I think either way works, however if you use Chojiro, it should be as part of his duties as vice-captain, and the same for Genshiro as 3rd seat.
