Knowing how Rex is, he would choose the hideout since with Scavenger he could find the god easily. The duel I don't think so, unless there is a rule to face two of the same level. Siege seems like a good option since Rex has a lot of abilities that buff the team that he hasn't had a chance to use yet. But I think the best option would be to Capture The Flag since it wouldn't depend so much on level but more on strategy, plus Rex's abilities are perfect to keep the Apollo family busy while his team takes the flags.

He has already undergone a significant personal growth, so I believe it is time to develop the family members.

What can I say man, this is probably the best fanfiction not only from Danmachi but in general from this site. Personally I really liked that you didn't give the protagonist the victory, and all the points you gave for doing so seem very correct to me, I don't want this story to become a generic one with a protagonist who overcomes all difficulties without breaking a sweat.
