Hi sorry I didn't know how to comment without leaving a review but ima put 3 stars cause I haven't read it but want to know a few things before reading please reply. 1. Do I have to play the game to understand or is it still readable if I haven't played the game? (just that playing the game would make it more enjoyable). 2. Is the combat system explained in the novel or do is it assumed that I've played the game? 3. Yep that's all please enlighten , looks interesting but didn't want to start if I had to play the game to understand it.

Danzo tried to recruit him earlier but Hiruzen refused so Danzo backed off since he didn't think MC would reach. the same level as Kakashi or Itachi. Danzo was already planning to make a move on the Uchiha at this point so he didn't have time to worry about MC. MC also joined Anbu not long after being a Chunin so Danzo still couldn't make a move against him especially after losing most of root after Uchiha massacre.

If you watched Naruto ( or read the novel a bit further) you'll know Hiruzens' personality is big on The Will of Fire and to promote the Will of Fire he stated he'll reward the winners of the exams to motivate them to work harder before and even after the exams finish. Hiruzen thinking the kids would be naive didn't put a limit to his rewards and as we know the mc wasn't raised in the ninja world so he wasn't brainwashed with The Will of Fire mentality and was a former adult in his previous world, so he took advantage of this fact to ask for big rewards. MC acting like a kid wasn't for Hiruzen but for the other kids watching , the teachers watching and also other guests watching so Hiruzen couldn't refuse to reward him in front of everyone because that'd make all his talk about The Will of Fire look bad especially to the other kids who were still mentally young and the adults who believe in the Will of Fire ( tho we know it's bs but they all follow it like how Samurais' follow Samurai customs). So Hiruzen wasn't stupid he was just taken advantage off even tho he tried to downgrade the reward he could offer thinking the mc didn't know what he was talking about.

(Read till recent chap) Alright so this is an honest opinion no filter. This doesn't give those clique Chinese faceslap shi that are just fr hella annoying. No useless talking about things that literally don't matter and there's no boring conversations that just make you want to drop the novel like other fanfics. The character interactions are top class like fr top class, all the character building gives life to conversations and it isn't boring or monotone or seems forced. However there is a lot of political talk in recent chapters but idk it was interesting because it brings life to what a fanfic is , which is things in Naruto that we thought could've been cool and such so the mc being in a power position in recent chapter sort of brings what we wanted to change in Naruto world to life since the mc was originally a Naruto fan and sticks true to it. There's no going off plot and talking about random bs that will eventually not have any significance later on in the story and such. A shi ton of training arcs but its VERY enjoyable as you see how hard jutsus are to learn step by step, literally breaks down jutsu forming and chakra moving (idk wat im talking about read the book for more) but it was a big change in my pov to how the ninja jutsu system was. Power System is W and stays consistent like there's no bs power ups or random mumbo jumbo shi that don't make sense everything progresses naturally and we are there witnessing it in his training and such. Also shows how hard it is to make new jutsus which I like because other Naruto fanfics just randomly shows mc creating a new jutsu and like NO because if it was that easy then everyone would've fking made new original jutsus for themselves and such. ( IK they are fanfics but its still triggering for me cause how's some random dude gonna join The Naruto verse and just starts knowing shi without adapting or learning it) Sorry for the rant but as an OG naruto fan , I loved this , very realistic , no bs changes to the story (there are changes because he influences it later but they are believable instead of random bs changes like other fanfics). Very little background settings tho. It's ok since we are already familiar with Naruto Verse and roughly know the different villages and their terrains but ig for non-Naruto fans it'll be hard to imagine the scenery but then again why read a Naruto fanfic if you're not a Naruto fan go read Naruto manga or watch the anime instead. Also love how mc progresses , learning how to utilise chakra and everything from actual ninjas and tricks he figures out by inputting modern knowledge (previous world) instead of randomly being thrown into Naruto verse and immediately becomes a god at how to inc chakra control and such. Tho you might hate mcs' fight style at the beginning because it's hide and seek tactics do remember this guy was a normal man before being thrown into a bloodthirsty ninja world and had to adapt so it'll slowly develop. But his fighting style now in recent chapter is big W. Also read to recent chapter for interactions with Naruto and how he's about to make big big changes to Canon plot line that we know. If you made it to the end it means you're very interested in a goo fanfic and I can 100% guarantee you will love this .

This reminds me of those cringe Chinese trash talks cliche where the mc will faceslap them by proving em wrong. fr this scene wasn't necessary since mc is depicted to not care about the gossip .

How does bro know senjutsu? thought those could only be taught after feeling nature chakra and that can only be done by going to a sacred land with the affinity they specialise in. Also need a summon beast clan that has a senjutsu system to train you in feeling nature chakra.

Fr and that was the greatest nerf in Naruto history. Young genius couldn't grow to his full potential because most his chakra was drained to the Sharingan
