I wrote this 2 months ago. I don't remember anything about this fic at this point, but shikamaru "hehe"ing doesn't sound like something he would do. Not saying he can't laugh, but not a "hehe!" Anyway, I don't discriminate based on if it's Chinese or not. Could be the webnovel "author" not translating Chinese to English well. People are usually mad at this aspect of Chinese translations. Translators simply copy, pasting with an AI software and posting it on webnovel in mass. Something that makes sense in Chinese doesn't always in English. There's also the occasional racism/nationalism as well. I will also see work that is original and think it's absolute trash, but will have good reviews. It just takes time for people to notice and it will eventually get bad reviews.
