Yeah you probably are.
I think the author means since she fought the independent cultivator.
A generic mess that skips plot points. I’m guessing this was originally a novel but when they switched to drawing they started skipping points because parts of the story just don’t make sense. One chapter a couple of the characters disappear to handle something private without telling the mc but two chapters later he knows what they were doing without any explanation of how he found out.
TLDR: A disappointing waste after a strong opening. Don’t be fooled by the interesting opening. It quickly becomes a generic story with a simplified boring mc and 2d supporting characters. Also the machine translation eventually rears its ugly head with abundant double negatives, inconsistent genders, and archaic units.
I love when a story recognizes and leans into the absurd, occasionally. I hate those that regularly treat everything seriously and then try brush off absurd stuff.
The use of plot armor and contrivance is absurd. It starts out reasonable enough mentioning how it took years of effort to take that first step but then it’s just showering him with overwhelming rewards for eliminating weak nobodies. Solid pass.
Nothing really bad but definitely not good either. Just another bland mc obsessed with power and cardboard cutouts for side characters.
Because you follow fads without thought.
A great world wasted on terrible characters. This book is the poster child for jumping the shark. The mc became too powerful too quickly and just became a boring whiny caricature who can think of nothing but becoming stronger. When he noticed that he was changing he wanted to retain his humanity and it was handled pretty well but that only lasted about 20 chapters. The fact that there’s only one character listed on the summary should have been a tip off that everyone else in the story is irrelevant. There’s brief glimpses of people but they’re either enemies who will die or friends who get iceboxed to motivate the mc.
The thing about spheres is that they are the most efficient way of containing volume with the lowest possible surface area. So a million times the volume is only about 48,000 times the surface area. Which while still a huge number shows the power of the square cube law. Sorry my math major is showing.
