TLDR: while still being translated the author has dropped this around 1100. Translation Quality: 4 stars Pretty good with only a few inconsistencies. Update stability: 2 stars Good translation pace but it’s milking a dead cow since the story was abandoned. Story development and character design: 2 stars each Overly perfect and kind of flat. The thing that really killed it for me was being super competent at fighting when he never does it. A perfect mc is just lazy writing. World background: 4 stars The world is balanced and interesting but because the mc is a recluse it’s not really mentioned much.
Really? Untranslated text.
I remember him mentioning something about rising more than 20% a few chapters ago.
Technically a desert is anyplace that receives a small amount of precipitation a year. Parts of the north/South Pole are technically deserts.
Trash. The author has abandoned this, not the translator the author, so it will never be done. The number of coincidences that the mc relies on is ridiculous. Finding the bees and plants are a reasonable start and his decision to hide it is again reasonable, but, then time after time whenever a risk of exposure comes up it just conveniently goes away. The level and risks are unclear and constantly changing in the MCs favor. There are repeated attempts to generate tension but then it always just falls flat when the mc wins without any real effort.
Author dropped not the translator.
Bad sign long term for the book. A lot of times a lack of interaction is just a sign of a lack of confidence on the author’s part about their ability to write it in a realistic and meaningful way.
TLDR: A MTL strong original opening that eventually devolves into cliches and becomes generic. Translation Quality: 1 star Obvious MTL. They even left the response headers on some chapters. Update Stability: 4 stars When you’re using MTL it’s easier to keep up with it. Story Development: 3 stars The opening is good but the system is inconsistent and the power scaling is constantly changing to make the mc stronger. Character Design: 2 stars The mc is likable and imperfect at first but then they are too perfect. They never make mistakes or stumble. They lack relatability and feel like a paper stand in instead of a real person. All the other people are either one dimensional enemies or mindless sycophants. World Background: 3 stars Generic. Not bad but not good either.
I think it would be 3 at 50 and then another 7 at 100 for a total of 10. If you just reported 100 at once then you would just get the 10 straight out.
TLDR: An overly perfect mc surrounded by convenient opportunities just feels generic and mindless. Translation Quality: 3 stars Generally good but has a bad habit with units. Sometimes they’re modern sometimes ancient, sometimes metric sometimes imperial. Story development: 2 stars There doesn’t really seem to be an overarching story. The mc is just reacting to things around him in a very limited fashion. The mc just keeps stumbling into opportunities without any reasonable explanation or thought. This is ok occasionally but it happens constantly. It feels like the author has to give him these advantages but can’t think of a reasonable way of doing it so it just gets dropped in. Character Design: 1 star The mc is overly perfect and hollow. He never really expresses any real emotions. Everyone else is just irrelevant. World Background: 3 stars Pretty generic. Nothing really bad but nothing to complement either.
