I read over 300 chapters. If it takes 200 more chapters to not be bad, I’m not paying to suffer that long.
A just plain unlikable mc. He’s just heartless and hollow. He has no personality whatsoever. Also after a certain point the machine translation starts screwing up constantly. It’s like the translator just gave up and is banking on the sunk cost fallacy to hope you keep wasting your money on it.
Hypocrisy at its finest.
Wasn’t it about contemplating the diagram and not about having extra energy? Can’t the author keep anything straight without abandoning it for plot progression?
Not wrong but based on his other actions this just sounds like trying to justify an inconsistent character.
Didn’t he say the same thing during his last breakthrough too? Author can’t keep it straight. Not a good sign.
You really would think that this guy would be under some pretty strict level of observation after what’s happened to him and the intelligence he brought back. Pretty convenient that he’s not.
An interesting and unique world. I really enjoy the feeling of mystery and discovery. The underlying horror is cleverly cut every so often with near perfect comedic timing to maintain a tense atmosphere without being overwhelming. The side characters are interesting and developed, at first. As the cast grows some fall to the wayside but they remain relevant when brought back into the limelight. Sadly the mc is the weakest element in the story. He’s just very robotic with nonsensical intuition given as a weak excuse for him to always do the right thing. The mc is also this weird combination of overly cautious and over powered.
You know that’s probably my one complaint about this story. I’m not really clear on how much time has passed. It’s not like super inconsistent or anything but just vague enough to be annoying when mentioned.
Low key bash.
