At last someone picked it up. keep it up brother. I haven't finished until chapter 1282 yet because i wanted to binge read few hundred chapters. I hope you will continue translating.
This webnovel shows a lot of promise in the beginning but falls down hard! The author is still finding his writing voice, especially in dialogues and fight sequences. The novel is full with complex words and descriptions, you will find very few interesting interaction between characters. Also, some parts of the novel might feel very familiar, like you have read something similar before.
The story always had unnecessary explanations and repeatated lines. But in the End Year Tournament arc the author just messed it up. Now the story is full of filler chapters, side characters getting unnecessary lengthy fights and priorities. Also in these chapters instead of focusing on their fighting technique the author is more focused on explanations, it seems 2 lines of fighting and 20 lines of explanations. The author needs to broaden his knowledge to make the fights more vivid and enjoyable. I will be leaving this book as of today, hope it makes a comeback later.
A LONG STORY BUT **A MUST READ** The combination of Martial Arts and Comedy makes the novel more interesting and intriguing. It has a detailed background and depth in each character, A Powerful and intelligent one-of-a-kind MC. Fighting scenes are so vivid that it feels like I can imagine them in my head. I also read the Manhwa before (season 2 started just a few days before), so it helps me understand and visualise the character better. Thumbs up to the translator, I hope he keeps translating this wonderful novel.
The writing was really good, with a strong plot. quick-witted anti-hero type MC, the supporting characters or characters surrounding the MC had depth. The story was slowly building up. But after chapter 300, I don't know what happened, but the author keeps dragging the story. 20+ chapters of continuous fighting, then 20+ chapters of continuous chase (I skipped all the chapters and just took notice when someone died and MC got notification from the system). What the hell! And now there are unlimited chapters of MC farming in the jungle.
If you are reading a system-related novel for the first time, you might get used to it. But for someone who has read novels and manhwa like this before, it doesn't feel like anything new. I have read up to chapter 67, and the characters growth doesn't impress me, and the MC is steadily getting stronger without having any strong challenges. It feels like Chinese Donghua, where the MC is despised by the family but gets so lucky to get a system or cultivation scroll, and then he goes around killing/beating monsters or enemies and getting loot from them while acting like a jerk. The story is very slow-paced, and lots of useless information and background details are provided while the MC goes hunting or meets someone. It's just not my cup of tea, but new readers are welcome to try.
The novel started great, with enough background on the MC and his circumstances, but after he gets transmigrated, everything gets messy. He has an engineering degree (maybe civil), but after transmigration he started making paper, then medieval period weapons, and plans to introduce guns later! What the hell? I have read until chapter 21, and he was supposed to start his education within a few months. But nobody questions him about his endeavors, how he is doing all this, or how he has become so damn smart. In short, the novel feels like a newspaper article where the author is describing one event after another.
The story is very bland. It doesn't make you eagerly wait to read the next chapter to know what happens. The MC's character doesn't flourish in the novel; he is not intelligent, not heroic, not even villainous; he is just too normal with some stupid power. Also, there is no character growth for any of the characters in the novel; they are just too plain. After reading all the reviews, I stayed until the 200+ chapter mark for it to become more interesting and intriguing, but it didn't happen. Also, I skipped so many paragraphs and chapters because they felt really unimportant for the novel; it was just pure farming again and again.
