what I'm thinking is that, the direct line was a Heavenly Dragon while the distant line was a flood dragon. But a flood dragon can be a heavenly dragon if they have the potential/talent.

From my understanding, CMIIW Reincarnator: Someone who reincarnated as someone else in the same world. Regressor: Someone who were sent back to the past as his/herself. Transmigator: Someone who were sent to a different world and universe as someone else.
You know… Reincarnation is great, but reincarnating into someone who is soon to die is not great. Well, I cannot say that I am reincarnated. I take over the body of a child. Is it a regressor?
