their trait could be something more passive like more significant control, higher efficiency when using energy, the ability to substitute or convert their magics into other systems so instead of using emotions they could choose calculations as with the human magic system of dxd, or for a tree of potential/something more active i think manipulation of energy on some level, maybe you enhance the force of a punch or invert it's kinetic momentum, maybe you dissipate the light of the sun or focus it

another thought i had, as scavenger improves hypothetically with more use (if it does) would he be able to have a pseudo version that would be reminiscent of pickpocketing? say he manages to wound someone or something levels higher than him but it's to difficult to kill- he could 'pickpocket' steal a portion of their stats, parts of their abilities to gain pseudo versions of their abilities- the way I'm imagining 'pickpocket' would work id through blood or a part of the victims body separated by an attack

since he's decided against the ambush- aiding the hestia familia sneakily in return for favors or debts to be paid back either from Apollo's stuff or future profits, if i remember correctly Apollo gets banished and disbands his family, with no protection mc could kill him and scavenge his body- considering his method of getting his familia it's reasonable to assume Apollo has a good amount of enemies so- declared a regular assassination event, with the soma familia being clear because they're known friends of Apollo familia publicly

I would say the life expectancy is hampered by those that die early in the forest, and it depends on the healing magic, so if you could get your healing magic to the point you could revitalize cells or empower them with a conversion of magic-vitality it wouldn't be impossible for them to remain eternally young
