Also, just a side note, the content you will be reading (in the near hour or two as i have yet to write it yet) might be a bit too extreme for some, some might find it hard to read because of the content in it so, i'd advice if you are what the people calls snowflake, then better read another story as this might not be for you.

if it was in the early 2000s, then yeah, it wouldn't have been a sign of ai however, nowadays, almost every ai is trained to generate responses with em dashes in it.I agree that the sentence structure and how it's written also plays a role in it but, again, in a novel, seeing a lot of em dashes usually means that the author has used an ai to correct their grammatical, punctuation & hypen mistakes. Well, that seems to be the case these days as I have yet to see an ai that doesn't produce a lot of em dashes in it's responses.

contract depends on how an author uses the ai. If the whole story is generated via an ai like gpt, then no. you can't get a contract but, if it's for minor refinement like grammar correction, punctuation/hypen correction while you write the whole story, then yeah, you can get a contract.

more than 3 - 5 em dashes are a dead giveaway that the author used an ai for at least grammar correction/punctuation correction.
