"Thank you," Anaisa accepted the delicate pastry and nibbled at it slowly. It reminded her of the snacks the cook sometimes snuck to the sisters when their father had one of his parties, but less refined, and perhaps a bit squished from the wagon ride home. It was scrumtious.

I genuienly enjoyed every moment that I spent reading this, I'm a little sucker for romance and this tickled me in all the right places. I love your writing Toni, I love how crazy Anaisa can become, the light teasing of Trace. Everything is so good and I can't wait for more for days to come :]

But Trace wasn't like her father. Not at all. He was an odd creature that she could not figure out, but certainly couldn't ignore. Perhaps she might need to get away from him sooner rather than later so that she didn't get terribly attached. A poor, farmer husband might be inconvenient when she got her fortune returned to her.
