FFS! They were separated and we read about her stupid friends even in the epilogue chapter... Now I really believe the author of this book can't write couple scenes. The book ended without a decent communication between them, literally. That was exactly what I was afraid of. It was such an abrupt and terrible ending.
I feel like I'm reading about a man taking advantage of a mentally disabled girl or even worse, a child. What is with the little monster or fruit bullsh*t?
Once more, I see people are unable to show the slightest logic. It doesn't matter if she has feelings or if she agreed to have children with him. Mars shoved his rod into an unconscious woman. He didn't care about what she would feel. This is it.
So she shamelessly watched them, and even though Bartos was there, huh? This is a blatant disrespect to your partner. Furthermore, she sees no problem with that. And we are expected to find her shamelessness cute. lol
Everard is a huge downside for this book. His stupidity is beyond salvation. I don't know if the author is deliberately portraying him as an idiot. And he is getting more chapters than the actual main characters if I'm not mistaken. I don't get it.
????
We are waiting for a real romance where they would spend time and talk for at least a few dozen of chapters. It will be a disaster if we are gonna have an abrupt happy ending in the last few chapters after so much separation and miscommunication between those two. I'm worried.
We don't even know what Ravina feels about Malachi. There is just a sexual attraction between them and sexualizing two characters too much kills the romance(if there was any). And this situation is further confirming my feelings that Ravina just tolerates him because she has no other choice. Seriously, in just a few chapters we felt the passion and the beginning of a love between Ravina and Ares(which is still a bad decision for the story for me). The author was able to deliver it to us. But with Malachi, all we have is just sexual attraction all this time. I don't get it.
In fact, it's not even secret. He is the main character together with the Ravina. He is more interesting, he is the love of the female main character, and he is getting more chapters from his POV at this point. lol
The love between Ares and Ravina was a really bad decision in this novel and it ruined the whole story for me. They still have feelings for each other and it makes the whole relationship with Malachi pointless. It feels like Ares is the secret male lead and he is much more interesting than Malachi. I don't know if Malachi intentionally written blandly. Like this is Ares and Ravina's story, and Malachi is just a side character. I think if you ask Ravina at any point that if she would prefer to be with Ares from the beginning rather than Malachi, she always would say yes. And I don't think her answer will ever change. The same thing applies to Ares as well. Ares' shadow still looming over her relationship with Malachi and Malachi is just someone forced on her and it will always be like that. She just tolerates him. I feel like we are still reading about two lovers who didn't get to be together. I can't forget about that while reading the intimate moments between Malachi and Ravina. Because you don't act like that if your partner still thinking about someone else. You would be heartbroken.
