Simply put, I like this story. The premise is very well done, and while generic it is done in a tasteful manner. The characters haven't had time to really shine, but I could see some great development/interactions between August and other characters. The world building is sprinkled throughout the current story, and the world is looking to be one of many. The power system seems slightly messy but despite that and some other characteristics that I slightly dislike, I like this story and would love to see some more of it.
