I was embarrassed but was truly enjoying the film until the end. In the end the Demon was dragged back to the nether realm against her will. Forever separating the two lovers for all eternity.

It wasn't magic. Magic is a separate thing here. Think of it more as just a superpower and the essence in the body is like the eternal energy used for it.

Realizing the wolf genuinely had no idea what she was talking about, the blushing fox silently turned around and headed for the bathroom. She was truly embarrassed and couldn't believe that the flirty wolf was that innocent. Turns out she really did just want to shower together with no ulterior motives.

Well yes, but no. Japan exists somewhere in the Universe. Not this planet though.
Later that night, after a nice long shower, Laura and Zenesha were cuddling on the couch watching one of the fox's anime. Much to Laura's amusement they were called anime in this world too, despite the fact the country wasn't called Japan.
