He didn't get Kaine's powers because, while fun, (Also when did I mention the spider's colors?) I wanted to mess around with some new powers instead, also the Mark of Kaine isn't a power, it's using Spider-Man's natural stickiness to rip off a person's skin. As for the training arc, there's one planned in the future after the MC realizes how he needs to get strong fast. As for patrols, this is a variant of earth where superheroes like Iron-Man, Hulk etc. are far rarer so the same goes for superheroes, MC assumed this would continue on with him being inserted not realizing that more villains would steadily appear, i.e via comic book logic to give him threats..

Not a middle school trip first of all, secondly MC is meant to be sort of stupid he's not exactly thinking logically considering he's in a comic book world and lastly, the crime alert app was just a quick solution he came to, it's not gonna be a permanent thing.
