Plot probably/or not taking the advantages he has over other to far which I understand since the book gets boring when the MC has virtually no challenge or obstacles.
Nevertheless, Harry was happy for now. He needed to master the basics before worrying about secret knowledge in the restricted section. The room of requirements would probably help him with that, but Harry was wary of it. The temptation of secret knowledge, of discovering the capabilities of the room, was simply too attractive, but for all its wonder, the room of hidden things contained countless objects whose owner wanted to get rid of, meaning that the number of cursed items was probably abnormally high. - Jhonathan_Cabrera1yrCommented

A good way to write a scary story is to go deep into describing the surroundings, sounds, and use a lot of similes.
Alrighty, I think I did a good job with this one. I don't have any idea of how to write a story with a scary mood, but I tried my best. I think the funny thing is if their was a different version of this story and they were in the US they would be making magic guns instead of golems.
