I really like the overarching story and the world building but there are so many plot holes it's driving me nuts. It feels like the author provides us with some information and then completely forgets what he had mentioned before and starts writing something else. The MC does alot of extremely dumb thing which should get him killed but comes out with rewards instead cause of the thick polt armor he's wearing. The author has a hard time remembering how long ago something happened in the story which he himself mentioned earlier, especially during the Tower of trials arc. Review what you write or get an editor or something. The story has plot holes and the author over explains the MC's thought process which makes the MC seem dumber then he already is. I can even give you some examples if you want but they will contain spoilers.

With so many events happening, I feel MC hasn't made much progress when it comes to the newer members of his harem and there hasn't been much focus on the children. Hope he can focus more on his family and cultivation after the whole banquet ark to slow things down a little. I feel the mortal cultivation part was much more well thought out and interesting compared to the immortal one. But still, I have been really enjoying the story so far.

The story is a little slow in the start and you might feel like the 'death note' is just a copy of the anime but if you can patiently read through the first 1000 or so chapters the rest 1300 are golden, especially ch 1600 onwards. I can't explain much without spoiling but trust me if in the start there were moments where I felt bored, now that I have caught upto the latest chapter (ch 2292) I can't wait for the new chapters to come out. The cultivation system is very detailed, interesting, well explained and logical. The r-18 chapters are very well written. If you are wondering when will the MC do something worthy of being called Divine emperor of Death, then you will have read till chapter 1600 or so cause that's when the MC is given the title of emperor of death and rightfully so.
