So, there being other members of the clan in this fanfic is a very plausible situation, don't know why you would have any problem with it?? 3rd, because of Danzo, being an Uchiha in the village is already very tough. Now being a descendant of both a Senju and an Uchiha, that's just asking for trouble. So, even if there was many reasons why he didn't want to join the Uchiha clan, that was the most reasonable and safest choice for him.
