Honestly it’s a good read the biggest issue is the glacial pace. I’ve made it 120+ chapters and quite frankly the fact that he’s barley advanced in his actual strength is kinda sad. 3 levels and he’s got practically no combat skills and is still being turned into a servant. Makes me feel like by the time I catch up to author current chapter (1k+) he might be at level 10 if we’re lucky. Just an overall observation, besides that it’s a great book just needs better pacing or longer chapters.
If as an author you admit your early work was sloppy, yet you do nothing about it, are we as the reader just supposed to get over it? I refused to pay on here and went to a 3rd party because I’m not spending more on low quality work than I would on an edited and revised book.
Ngl for a book with 1800 chapters, i expected more. First of all let’s address the horrendous quality. Between the unending spelling errors and abysmal grammar, it’s nearly unreadable. I made it 200 chapters, and have yet to see any signs of even attempted editing. If you have enough of a fan base to reach over 500 chapters, at least have the decency to go back and use the lessons you’ve learned from the previous chapters to rewrite your early work. I’m sure the quality picks up as the author gains experience, but getting to that point is mind numbing. Being jerked from the story every 10 words because the author misspelled a basic word and didn’t take the 10 seconds needed to fix it is frustrating. For a story you need to pay for? No thank you.
And dropped. Seriously? How pathetic. Sure let’s write a “romance novel” and instead of actually doing that let’s just waste the readers time. 100 chapters and not a single actual emotion towards any “love interest” just the mc thinking he’s too cool for everyone around him. Mc can’t even be bothered to protect his “harem member”. Author if you pick a genre, actually write it. Don’t call it a romance novel without any. It’s like calling marvel a horror series. I typically am the constructive criticism type, but money grabbing, half assed effort like this doesn’t deserve it.
Book has potential so far (chapter 100) except for 3 glaring issues. First and foremost- the “harem” is already essentially like 20 ppl who I can’t remember. There’s like 3 major ones but a new love interest is introduced every other chapter. Secondly, 100 chapters into a romance harem novel and we’ve had two kisses in total. One was accidental and the other unwilling. There are two official “harem members” who are neither of the ones kissed. And lastly, there is no actual plot. No world building really, just pure wish fulfillment. Not even good wish fulfillment either, no lemons no actual romance just 100 chapters of side characters losing their shit bc mc exists.
Don’t waste your time. As of chapter 330, there’s been a single r18 chapter where the mc showed major beta vibes. Since then he actively avoids any potential romance
Honestly… what a disappointment. The first hundred or so chapters are fantastic, a few mistakes here and there but definitely readable. After that though.. I probably skipped over 100 chapters trying desperately to get through the wasted arc. I mean 100 chapters of him going back in time and becoming op only to literally give it all up to same idiot who literally ruined the first arc. It feels like the author doesn’t have a plan. As of chapter 330, we’ve spent more time in the vastly distant past than we have in the present. All of the actual support characters and plot points were completely left behind and forgotten about. Zero substantial progress. Just feels like a cash grab. Why else would you waste over 100 chapters in a book that you make ppl pay to read?
Honestly this comment gave me hope and caused me to continue trying. Unfortunately the book didn’t live up to your words. Mc got even worse. I gave up when I completely stopped even understanding the chapters themself. Between all the fillers, the dramatic overuse of fillers, the constant perspective shifts, the readers only get about 100 chapters of actual content by chapter 300.
Such a good boy Arsene. Always doing what you’re told like a good puppy.
Ah yes the classic “genius who works 10000000000xs harder than anyone else in the story and barely stays relevant through plot armor” trope. Can’t wait to get to the point where the most remarkable thing about him is the authors porn fueled delirium.
