Although not a Danmachi Fanfic, one story that does this “Far past” Idea really well is Realistic Tower of God: The Martial Way. It is set in the far past of the Tower of God storyline where the Main Character is a Martial Artist who died and was reborn in the Tower, who thus decided to climb the tower, wishing to Surpass his peak in his previous life. In doing so, he actually meets and travels with some pretty important people in the ToG storyline, where the author does a pretty good job exploring them in his og way. The author also manages the Protagonists power growth pretty well, with his ‘unique power’ being something that gives him an edge while not being that op. Although it sadly has been dropped/on hiatus or something for about 2 years now, i really recommend checking it out, its a pretty unique fanfic.

While there a LOT of similarities, there are differences, as in the reborn with tenseigan, the clones didnt have minds of their own and needed to be manually controlled, unlike here where the clone here has actual sapience. Im interested to see what the author does in the future.

Not gonna lie…i would much rather prefer no romance as i would’ve liked to see the world of dxd and protagonist being explored deeper…romance usually shifts the focus from those parts of the story. But alas, we shall continue reading your story with great fervour, author.

Hmmm. Interesting direction you are taking the protagonist with. I quite like it. Many stories have godly protagonists but they do not really act ‘godly’. Having a god act dignified and wise…maybe even a touch prideful is quite…refreshing.

Strange technique name. Divine Celestial Technique doesn’t really sound suitable for a technique using poisons to strengthen oneself. Maybe Poison Celestial Technique would be better? Just a suggestion.

I must say the first 150 chapters were good, the characters were great and having them like actually die was surprising as usually protagonists save them with something, him accepting his immortality was refreshing, the translation was pretty decent, and the time-skips helped illustrate his immortality. But after that…yikes, the story gets…repetitive, i mean different locations and all, yeah he moves around from time to time. But the characters took a nosedive, like the enemies are like xianxia antagonists, acting cocky as all hell, after they fail to attack the mc, they always do this stupid, repetitive joke like ‘oh, i’m sorry, it was an accident’, like what?!? It does a complete 180 on their personality and it happens again and again like…god damn where did their spine go? Also is it only me to find it strange that the old murloc does the same-thing as the previous antagonists!? Do they all speak the same language because of the past mages? Translation after the aforementioned first 150 chapters was bad, typical Chinese translation, ruins the immersion…badly and names changing from blood alliance then to alliance of the blood, changing from one another, did the translator change? Really, i hope they get their stuff together, i am so sad seeing the story worsen as time goes on…like the start was good but it feels like the author lost passion after the Empire arc

LoudGryphon: An overall great story with excellent world building and character development, its an amazing ride going through this story with its own unique characteristics that separates itself from other pokemon fanfics. I have read through some great pokemon stories and I’ve only seen the potential of pokemon being done in one other story, though quite different in their own right. Though i was surprised by the early romance, i am happy with how it is turning out, was just surprised by how early the partner was decided. Pretty great fights and so on, basically pretty good stuff. Only real complaint is the 6 months hiatus, but its a fanfic so eh, whateva, i knew what the risks were of reading great fanfiction. Im happy your back, was pretty sad when i read through your story and saw that you haven’t updated for months.
