i mean to me, its honestly a toss up between esther and julie, i didnt like kai even on the og since... ya know. I mean, in the anime, Issei is the picture of THE Japanese Beta Male protagonist. Not only did he forgive most of Rias' actions that hurt him mentally and physically, but he ignored the damage done to his blood parents. Good intentions or not, memory erasing, and MIND CONTROL are two big things for morality and the safety of own person. You CANNOT just shrug that off simply because "It's necessary." That's why my Issei is VERY ticked off by her actions. He gets reincarnated as the devil without his permission, not given necessary pieces of information, AND his parents are possibly mind-controlled. Yeah, OG Issei has screwed priorities.
