Why does he call him a kid tho? They're the same age it's a bit weird and everyone overhearing may get a tiny bit suspicious of what he may be hiding

It's how you change from 3rd person to first person writing in the same dialogues that's a bit out there.

So Hope is as powerful as an archangel now? this story gets more and more ridiculous. not to mention the constant abrupt POV changes.

They're simply trying to help you improve the accuracy of your perspective. A teaching moment for you, but it's up to you if you want to acknowledge the facts and improve or ignore it.
