I really liked this story, and it does come to a complete, if slightly rushed, ending. Unfortunately, the translation skips parts which are in the raw and that makes it difficult to follow at times.

Diamonds are a girl's best friend! Honestly though, she has a point. She's still thinking like a member of the working class, but bad things happen! It's best to be able to support yourself if you need to. Also, one major red flag in a relationship is when a partner tries to get you to give up any external connections or support. Lu Chen might consider that his wife is going to have a very good view of the economy and will be able to warn him of problems long before any officials who might be afraid of looking bad.

This was a good romance story, with a satisfying ending in chapter 49. The next chapter was a side story, and the last chapter started a whole new story arc with the same characters, so save your money or passes and don't bother unless they pick it up again. The first 49 chapters form a good, solid story of two performing arts students finding love through disapproving families and competing careers.

I suppose that explains why the skill has declined. The only people who learn it are either with or opposed to the royal family, and it's too subtle and complex for a rebellion.

Sigh. Funerals are like that, sometimes. You have a great time chatting with people you only see at funerals.

It's not even consistent with the first chapter.

Having originally started reading this on Wecomics, I think a lot of the problems with the story flow are from the translator skipping parts or putting them in the wrong order. I found the raw versions at one point and there were several pages there which were not in the translation.

Unfortunately, the story is incomplete and ends in the middle of a major battle just as all the plot threads are beginning to come together. However, the story so far is unique and intriguing, and the watercolor art style is gorgeous. I have high hopes that the writer will return and complete the story.

I notice he still hasn't looked into the divorce letter. Did he intend to send one or not? If not, then who went behind his back and sent it?

Bit of an odd question from a professor preparing a lecture on the subject. I'd expect something like that from an undergrad, or even a high school student. He should have hit the "you need to go further back" thing multiple times by now.
