I will summarize this novel in two words Chinese novel. So expect stupid young master, mc acting week, pages about people talking shit or ass kissing the mc, wasted chapter of glorifying mc and lots of plot holes( like the process of awakening the writer at first half said it depends on luck too make useless suspense but later you find the principal proud of his student and that people of good back ground can ignore this rule entirely) In other words it’s novel that can only be read by turning of your brain or after heavy drinking otherwise it’s not readable.
Too many inner dialogue that I couldn’t handle reading it. Like the first 2 chapters are just him taking to him self zero story development. I think the writer wrote this on a whim and plan for it to be a slow burn novel.
Good book so far I hope the writer doesn’t take the easy way and start copying Chinese novel troop’s because that one way to make lose my mind. Like you don’t know how many novel I had read for only the writer to suddenly turn it into chinise novel and using evry cliché they could get the greasy hand on it.
I find the mc personality stupid and lost my interest the moment he made his decision to go reclaim his wealth from the government after the crown Prince killed him you see how stupid this sounds. And his power have sh*t load of restrictions and isnt unique to him. In other words I find the mc boring and stupid. Wich is not something you expect from a novel with op mc tag.
It’s a Chinese novel= useless paragraph filled with nothing but random gebrish. Everything goes how the mc wants unless the writer dicedes otherwise and like every Chinese novel you can summarize ever 20 chp in one. If you like novels that requires you to completely turn off your brain then this your novel but it’s not my cup of tee.
It’s a good novel love the novel background and how the side characters interact. That said I have a couple of issues that I want to address: 1) like how the writer change the pov without any warning. 2)using (“) for both internal and external dialogue instead of (“) for external and (‘) for internal. 3)extremely long internal dialogue
