Got to chapter 28, the main issue I have is the constant retracing of established facts or story. You will hear the same information 2-3 times in the same chapter. The story and character are pretty flat , reborn powerless but somehow well off, have a huge golden finger that is able to solve any issue as soon as it presents itself.

I feel like 40% of the chapters is circling back to already spoken about topics or facts. It is fine if it bear repeating especially if a lot of events happen between the time but the same chapters keep going around and around Mention how the female is a black window that will drain him, that the city is unsafe, that his neighbors think he would had died, that he has a low grade spirit root, and so on. You waste space with these repeated sentences and then do time skips of months to push the story along.

A good example is the movies they did about the forgotten shore. People would recall the movie and the cast including a comic relief character but if they try to focus on it then their mind will switch to something else.
