I guess she was able to keep some of the nether from her opponents attacks. That or take control of part of it that hit her amber bricks, so the stronger his attack the more energy she had to propel her exploding walls.

Makes sense they do have plenty of groups trying to pull them down or take revenge against them. I guess marriage ties are probably the best way to judge the situation then. Which ruler family has more of their subordinate forces intermarried with another family's subordinate forces. The more intermingling the better the relationship. I guess they could use that to try keeping the balance between the families too. So someone like Aster who doesn't really care about that balance is going to spell trouble.

I'm curious how Fawn is going to handle the family drama that just played out, given she doesn't seem to be as respected as she should be. It seems Lieze has quite a lot of experience battling against groups. Without people to protect I doubt these guys can put much pressure on her. Their groups were already defeated by her previously I'm not sure why they are so confident. I guess the rewards are too tempting to pass up.

It seems Lieze has some enemies in common with Aster how wonderful. I'm curious about the relationships between the 4 ruler families too. I wonder who gets along and who does not.

Well the representatives of your family has just been humiliated quite badly and has been extorted. They also decided that if you died it didn't matter much either or they wouldn't have called away someone from your team, just before a fight started or in the middle of it.

Well I think it has something to do with Cecile not having marked her mate. I imagine that is something that beasts can tell, so it might look like a poor match to them.
