Honestly, I can deal with one night stands. It makes it more realistic than suddenly gaining romantic feelings just because someone saved you.

My theory (going off of this theory) is that the reason nika isnât gone for good is because the buccaneer people passed their stories of nika down, thus giving him just enough divinity to not perish. And that led to luffy getting nikas powers, and each time he saved someone or a kingdom, he grew stronger because of more divinity being generated for him, although it wasnât to nika itself, it was channeled through luffy to nika.

You have a lot of choices, but stick to 2(or if you are feeling you can deliver it well, 3) but no more than that. Itâs so frustrating when a author has a genuinely good story, but abandons it by giving the Mc a PokĂ©mon harem. I can get he wants a couple wives cuz heâs a god but anything more than 3 is just outright unnecessary. And make the pairing make sense, you canât just give him robin or nami for no reason.

I donât think the PokĂ©mon logic applies too much here, I think the more this magikarp gets stronger physically the more powerful the moves he learns in the future will be, because that would be applying one piece worlds logic.
