Since an instructor decides who the sparring team leaders are Miss Aimee could just "suggest" they choose Gustav as one of the leaders.

if I read this correctly neither one would "win" as Rachel will use up all of her qi and her opponent will likely do the same. if nobody interferes that is. most likely both will pass out and some third party will eliminate Rachel's opponent while Quiana uses her abilities to assist the other two girls in collecting an unconscious Rachel.
