Unnecessarily complicated, the title is just a title with no relation to the MC's character or powers, messy love triangle that was thought to have been resolved only for a new reason to show up and it all starts all over again. It was good in the beginning...

Vandalieu in the Shadow slave-like world. One thing I can't feel in this novel is the power levels. The first volume already showcased powerful characters up to Rank 9 and even one deity. I can't get a feel as to how powerful they truly are because the MC ended up defeating a Rank 9 while being 7 years old. So what does that leave the rest of the novel? The endgame is defeating a God, but how would the novel go from there if the MC already defeated one of the apex powerhouses just from one volume of the novel? All in all, this is a good read

Why was the ending rushed and lackluster?

This is a novel with a lot of arrogant characters, even the mobbest of mob characters, with the thinnest face that with just a small insult will turn them into a maniac. I personally believe that the plot would progress a lot faster with just a few notable characters that deserve to be arrogant in it. Still a good novel, though.

Honestly, when I first read that everyone had forgotten our boy MC, I had no idea where the story was going to go from there, but when I read the following chapters, it felt like I'm reading a sequel or spin-off of the novel with the genre being slice of life and romcom, which I'm actually loving! It feels like a break from the usual dark tone and heavy plots. I had a lot of laughs from Sunny's and Neph's new, fresh and awkward relationship. Great job Author!

I like the pacing overall except for the Dragons' appearances and their power level when they encounter the Hero's party. Every time they encounter one,it just feels like the power level skipped a few levels and they always struggle. The Hero is also forced to use his trump card that reduces his power level when it ends. At this rate, he'll end crippled in the long run. Maybe in the end, the Hero's relevance will just keep getting lower and lower after all he's not the MC. There's also a prophecy that the author keeps on hinting: to win, they need two things which the Hero possesses But guess what, the MC now also possessed one of them. So the MC could just fulfill the prophecy and the Hero becomes irrelevant and crippled. To summarize, because every time a Dragon appears and their power levels aren't something the Hero can handle, he is forced to sacrifice some of his power just to get his ass handed to him and the MC to save him. In my opinion, the Hero's power level should at least be below the MC never getting higher or lower, and keeping up with the MC. That way, a balance is achieved. When the story gets to its late stages, the Hero and MC could stand together, facing their own battles to win. The Hero should be just as important as the MC!

Currently in the chapter 400s, honestly, the Supreme Human Alliance ruined the novel for me. There are countless races but the author just had to add human supremacists into the mix making the plot more complicated in my opinion. The part about the Kitsun race being evil really made the plot better, even the Lionheart drove home the point that other races are a threat. But no, the human supremacists just had to show up. We get it already, humans are shitty enough. The pacing was just getting good. I just hope the human supremacists are just a minor plot in the grand scheme.

Most characters are arrogant with fickle ego that when they are insulted by the MC, the MC suddenly becomes their sworn enemies and they all speak of paying the humiliation done to them. The dialogues are becoming cringe-y for me that I had to skip some sentences because of it.

I gave up on this novel the moment the MC wanted to change his fate/destiny and even bring his father back to life. In my opinion, the plot no longer mattered in chapters 2000s

My one problem with this novel is the pride, arrogance, saving face, humiliation and the likes is so heavy that most dialogues by MC's enemies are recyclable or reoccurring. Arrogant enemies show up, they trashtalks MC, MC talks back, enemies feel humiliated, enemies become MC's mortal enemy, MC kills them.
