I like the pacing overall except for the Dragons' appearances and their power level when they encounter the Hero's party. Every time they encounter one,it just feels like the power level skipped a few levels and they always struggle. The Hero is also forced to use his trump card that reduces his power level when it ends. At this rate, he'll end crippled in the long run. Maybe in the end, the Hero's relevance will just keep getting lower and lower after all he's not the MC. There's also a prophecy that the author keeps on hinting: to win, they need two things which the Hero possesses But guess what, the MC now also possessed one of them. So the MC could just fulfill the prophecy and the Hero becomes irrelevant and crippled. To summarize, because every time a Dragon appears and their power levels aren't something the Hero can handle, he is forced to sacrifice some of his power just to get his ass handed to him and the MC to save him. In my opinion, the Hero's power level should at least be below the MC never getting higher or lower, and keeping up with the MC. That way, a balance is achieved. When the story gets to its late stages, the Hero and MC could stand together, facing their own battles to win. The Hero should be just as important as the MC!

Currently in the chapter 400s, honestly, the Supreme Human Alliance ruined the novel for me. There are countless races but the author just had to add human supremacists into the mix making the plot more complicated in my opinion. The part about the Kitsun race being evil really made the plot better, even the Lionheart drove home the point that other races are a threat. But no, the human supremacists just had to show up. We get it already, humans are shitty enough. The pacing was just getting good. I just hope the human supremacists are just a minor plot in the grand scheme.

Most characters are arrogant with fickle ego that when they are insulted by the MC, the MC suddenly becomes their sworn enemies and they all speak of paying the humiliation done to them. The dialogues are becoming cringe-y for me that I had to skip some sentences because of it.

I gave up on this novel the moment the MC wanted to change his fate/destiny and even bring his father back to life. In my opinion, the plot no longer mattered in chapters 2000s

My one problem with this novel is the pride, arrogance, saving face, humiliation and the likes is so heavy that most dialogues by MC's enemies are recyclable or reoccurring. Arrogant enemies show up, they trashtalks MC, MC talks back, enemies feel humiliated, enemies become MC's mortal enemy, MC kills them.

One of the tropes in novels that I hate is jumping from one events or arcs after another. Not making use of time skips so that the MC can rest, train or consolidate their sudden power ups. Starting from the beginning: MC and gang reached Royal Blue Fort, then MC and FMC went to MC's home's basement, then fought Brazinger family, then on the way back fought a giant octupus. Then when they made it back to the Fort, they were forced to escape while being attacked by soldiers. MC is forced to separate with FMC. MC joined the Slayer Legion, kidnapped by a higher-up, forced to join a tournament, then another tournament, then went into a Zone. After clearing it, went into another to find FMC.... The pattern just continues reaching the 2000s chapter. The rare moments that time skips does happen are when the MC is in a coma. It's like the plot doesn't progress if the MC is in a coma.

Try as the author might want to include the supporting characters into an event the MC is going to participate in, they always end up in the background, just barely being mentioned. Their roles are so minimal that the author just makes the MC give them tasks, then pats himself in the back just so they are mentioned and forgotten later. The worst case this happened was in the Heir Wars arc. The MC needed allies, he had his brothers, former Valiant Heart students, and heirs of families. But he just mostly ended up using the army of Skye family and the Oriks, while the Umbra family and Cloud race gathered information. The MC just ended up doing the heavy lifting while the supporting characters are stuck doing tasks, even the FMC was downgraded to these tasks.

MC has a lot of powers that more often than not that they are neglected and what's worse the MC is so lazy that he doesn't put any effort into correcting this problem. Even the author doesn't give the MC any time into doing this because the MC is thrust into one problem after another, one event after another, one plot progression after another. The MC ultimately doesn't have a training arc like most MCs of other novels.

Forgot to add, most of the newly introduced characters only matter until the MC leaves the organization. They are only there for the sake of infuriating the MC

I'm in chapter 1700s right now, and the only thing I don't like is the MC's luck with organizations. It becomes predictable and frustrating for me because the author introduces a lot of new characters, explains their backgrounds, expands the organization and gives them more depth, introduces an event only for it to be interrupted by a third party, everyone hates the MC, MC causes trouble, and finally leaves the organization. The newly introduced characters will only show up in the next event, if ever, or will be connected to a conspiracy that will later on be killed or recruited by the MC.

This novel reminds me of The Darkness was Comfortable for me. I'm only at chapter 8 at the moment, yet it's funny how there are similarities.

One of the few things I like about this novel is the MC really is a villain and acts like one unlike other novels where a villain doesn't want to be a villain anymore. The story has good pacing where it makes use of time skip, the enemies are powerful but the MC keeps them on their toes, and Kevin and company keeps eating the dust of MC which is satisfying. Overall, this novel is worthy of rereading all over again for me.

Here's my impression of the novel:Give the author a piece of stone that's big as a hand and he will tell you what it is, its description, color, size, shape, history, and comparison to tales, myths, feelings etc.. and before you know it, the author had created an entire chapter of a piece of stone.

could the author stick to Third person POV? In my personal opinion, when the pov is on the mc, he tends to overthink which I end skipping the content till I get to the part where he's actually doing something. If that's not possible, then atleast the author tries to improve on it.The overall story is getting better, by the way.
