I don't know but this is one of my first novels and I love the world building and plot but I feel as if the main character is slightly cringy but that just adds to the charm of it.

it just might be the way the main character speaks so i might just be making assumptions lol

when characters speak it's better for them to use the shortened versions of verbs. like "I'm" instead of "I am" and "can't" instead of "cannot" the latter versions are too stiff and formal it's better used for narration and not for character speech.
