Yes, and the thing is, I have met with some high ranking people, I’ve worked in the pharmaceutical industry for a while now, and nearly everyone I know who works in it genuinely tries to help, but the board of directors don’t have to see each and every patient who can’t afford treatment die as the life slowly leaves their body, until you desperately see a flatline after a few weeks. I get your point, and the joke was funny, but most everyone wants to help. Most of the time, with small pharma, cancer is an extremely small demographic to hit, and between development, testing, and marketing, making a new cancer treatment can cost from 100 to 500 million dollars. It’s like a never ending gamble, and is one of the reasons so few treatments exist, whereas, taking Covid for example, small companies rose to the big leagues at an astronomical rate, because they were the first to output, didn’t have to market, and made it cheap. Anyways, I’m done tapping, just wanted to put my thoughts and knowledge out there.
I know people who sell cancer drugs, they genuinely want to help. If some miracle cure showed up, half of the sales force for any competitors would jump ship immediately to be able to sell a true cure for people
