I mean, there's also a lot of plots where a good person dies, and a bunch of people attack their old residence to find their "legendary" martial arts. It's maybe because, oh idk, they store their martial arts at home kinda like you might do any other kind of book so it doesn't get like.. damaged or stolen.

You do realize that talent is in different areas right? Someone might be able to easily comprehend math and utilize it in all sorts of ways like its an art, while the exact same person might not even be able to memorize the periodic table because they don't really have an affinity for it. That's actually used a lot of the time with these forces. It's mainly used in lower tier martial arts worlds where skin, muscle, bone, organ, etc.. is actually powerful rather than just entry level so we have these forces which are basically prerequisites as the world is so weak that they don't have the ability to just refine just like that, they have to develop extremely high control over their bodies that form these forces that then can be used to refine their bodies.
