Jetstream arrived and found a black Lexus LFA with a front and back splitter and a red under glow. Parked a few feet away was a Harrier jumpjet armed with missiles and all, then he was instructed to scan their forms. He parked in the middle of the two and scanned the jet first seeing that he wouldn't transform into it straight away, then he now scanned the Lexus and that's when a physical change occurred as sparks began to fly.

Jetstream transformed to his vehicle mode now. The grill of the Mustang appeared as the two headlights moved to the side making room for it to come out and then they clanged into place. The front splitter also emerged as his head went down to help create the engine and the hood of the car came over from his back with his shaker scoop popping up. His wings merged with his body as his windscreen, top, doors, side panels, and front fenders formed.

During this time he defected to the Autobots after a change of heart and taking on the form of a P51 Mustang, he soon found himself part of the world war. After he heavy damage from one of his battles he was retired and purchased by a war veteran. After the grandson of the veteran fixed him up, he left their farm and went to join the Autobots and help them fight the battles that were upon them.
