like, I'd be your side if this was based in America or uk but it's in Japan so giving your kid a non English name is pretty standard. if we were reading a originals or teen wolf or tvd fic and he came from a complete white family and was called matsumara or something I'd understand where you are coming from but that's just simply not the case

(sorry about this) but at the same time I find it annoying when they have a hair and eye colour like this in a completely normal world. like, they're parents are normal people but the mc suddenly has this weird hair and eye colour? I get that you can explain it off as being albino or something but they don't and it's confusing as all hell. like imagine your wife gave birth and he has features that do not match either of you. you'd think she's cheating and you'd want a dna test. but these people are completely fine with it. or if it's a naruto fic and they're a civilian and have uchiha features of black hair and eyes but for some reason they're not? like i get it if they have senju features or something cause if I'm remembering right the senju clan mingled with civilians to stop their clan from completely dieing but uchiha really? and you can't even explain off as they did something similar to the senju for two reasons. number 1, they were a extremely arrogant clan and that wouldn't have even been an option in their minds and number 2, they're clan extinction was so sudden that they wouldn't have even been able to do anything anyway.
