Self update. I went and looked it up. Velagros is the guy who was tasked to escort Lith to the quarantine camp and was killed by the Talons. Even more confusing.

At least I think so. Later para says he is the oldest demon? That is definitely Locrias.

Velagros was that guy who died some chapters back that Lith spared from execution by the crown when he was a kid. Saw the questions below.

It seems like there could be a gem here, but explaining could be more necessary. I'm mostly unaware of what most the characters even look like besides red hair or a muscular man. I mostly find myself asking: "What is this? What does this person look like?" and things of the like. Sometimes explanations are needed - I'm only commenting on the free chapters, maybe the author has improved later, but I was asked to look at what was available. It feels more like: "Person goes here, does this," rather than a deeper characters without fleshing out. This is just my personal opinion.

The writing quality is much higher than most of the other things I scored it on, as writing First Person is a bit more difficult and it comes a bit disjointed here and there. Time seems to skip around a little too quickly, but that's personal taste. I know very little about the MC, she feels less established and more of a means to an end. I can tell she comes from an abusive family - but some scene and visuals might help a bit more. Things she looks to, something hinting at her financial status. Simply, I want to know more about the main character. It goes from abuse to training, to killing the abuser. What town is she from? Was she rich? Was she poor? When did her father start abusing her? Things of that nature.

While VR is not my preferred genre, I am familiar with the systems being implemented. For those who do not understand the stats, abilities, etc. please do follow the link references that the author provides. When you understand 3.5e and Pathfinder Roleplaying Game stats, it should give you a good idea of the characters, power levels, abilities, traits, and so on that the characters do. My high rating is because he is using the systems provided in a unique world of his own making. If you're into the VR setting AND (not OR) tabletops, this will be a setting and story you will enjoy.

I called it in the last paragraph of the funeral chapter. He was bad with words. Morok's actions are how to read him. Whereas he checks out every chcik in Lith's life - look what he did for thhe sake of someone who actually treated him honestly. Poor guy.
